Automated Test Measurement System project is to design, develop Switch matrix and integrate with RF System meant to automatically test the functionality and performance of sub-systems, referred as Device Under Test [DUT]. The objective covers the requirement to develop the software to test and demonstrate functionality of all the RF/Non RF blocks and interfaces of the ATES with user friendly GUI. The ATES will be used to carry out the functional tests of DUT and Test reports have to be generated.

This Project consists of a high sped industrial grade (6U form factor) VME backplane chassis from ELMA that house various compatible subsystems used for intercommunication of the other sub-systems The associated subsystems that sits on the backplane (either directly in the VME slots or via PMC/XMC carrier slots) are Single Board computers (SBCs) based on Intel Architecture, Video Frame Grabber Card, Video Processing Card (Tracker), IRIG Timing/ GPS Interface card, Video switching & Annotation Unit and Video & Data Recording system.

This project is basically for testing the propellant of the missiles in one of the defense organization. Scope is to give a firing pulse by our customized control panel to the propellant for firing and to capture pressure and thrust data using pressure sensors and load cells and by mathematical computations we calculate burn rate.

Data Acquisition System for the SIMA Test Rig supplied to GTRE

The main functions of the Data Acquisition system are configuration, calibration, Acquiring, Online Displaying and Offline analysis. The field sensors are directly connected to the DAQ 4-Slots Ethernet chassis. The Output of the DAQ 4-Slots Ethernet chassis is connected to the DAS system through the cables for communication. The Data Acquisition System and the DAQ 4-Slots Ethernet chassis is connected through TCP/IP protocol for communication.
